What We Treat

Foot and ankle conditions can develop gradually or happen suddenly due to injury. We offer care for a wide range of concerns.

Diabetic Foot Care

People with diabetes are at a higher risk for foot complications, like ulcers, nerve damage (peripheral neuropathy) and infections. Diabetes can also cause poor circulation and slow wound healing. Through routine check-ups, treatment and lifestyle guidance, we help you prevent serious complications, such as gangrene or amputations.

Ingrown Toenails

An ingrown toenail occurs when the nail, often on the big toe, grows into the surrounding skin, causing pain, redness and potential infection. It is a common issue, affecting up to 20% of people seeking care for foot concerns. Early treatment is essential to prevent infection and further complications.

Hammertoe

Hammertoe is a deformity in which the second, third or fourth toe bends sharply at the middle joint, creating a hammer-like shape. This condition can affect one or multiple toes. It often occurs in conjunction with bunions. Hammertoe can be either flexible or rigid and may cause pain or difficulty wearing certain shoes.

Bunions

A bunion is a painful, swollen bump that forms at the base of the big toe when the joint becomes misaligned. Over time, the toe can shift out of place, leading to discomfort and difficulty walking. Without treatment, bunions may worsen and increasingly affect movement and daily activities.

Heel Pain

Heel pain can occur at the bottom of the foot or at the back of the heel. In some cases, it may be related to how you walk, such as excessive inward rolling of the foot (pronation), which can place additional strain on the heel. Heel pain can have several causes, including:

  • Plantar fasciitis: An overuse condition that causes sharp pain along the bottom of the foot
  • Fractures: Stress or heel bone fractures that can lead to severe pain and limited mobility
  • Achilles tendinitis: Inflammation of the Achilles tendon, causing pain at the back of the heel
  • Bursitis: Inflammation of the fluid-filled sac between the heel bone and tendon
  • Haglund’s deformity: A painful, bony bump on the back of the heel that is often seen in women who regularly wear high heels
  • Sever’s disease: A common cause of heel pain in children and adolescents due to stress on the heel’s growth plate

Treatment Options

We approach treatment planning holistically. By focusing on the root cause and implementing personalized methods, we tailor treatment to your condition, symptoms and goals. We focus on both relief and long-term foot health, enabling you to stay active. Your care plan may include:

  • Supportive footwear guidance
  • Custom orthotics or inserts
  • Physical therapy or stretching programs
  • Office-based procedures
  • Surgical treatment when needed

When to See a Specialist

Foot and ankle problems don’t always improve on their own. Seeking care early can help prevent symptoms from getting worse and support a smoother recovery.

You may benefit from evaluation if you are experiencing:

  • Pain that does not improve
  • Difficulty walking or staying active
  • Foot wounds or skin changes
  • Changes in sensation, especially with diabetes
